Lol. i don't know for sure but maybe the damage radiates out from the ult's explosion as a very very fast wave rather than a single omni-directional simultaneous hit - if that's the case if the immortality lamp is closer to the explosion than you are it'd hit/destroy the lamp before hitting you.

Hope they'll give Torb some buffs or reworks for 2, cause man is he currently pretty much completely useless, his gun is terrible, his turret is pointless, that ability that boosts his speed and armor doesn't make him actually any better in a fight and is only useful for running away from them, his Ultimate is pretty much the only decent thing in his kit and even that is middling at best, like he's probably the worst character in the game

torb's turret is probably decent against genji/tracer flanks torb's biggest sin is his design is kind of boring they should make torb support but change his dps bro ability into some spammable support ability

torb is my most played hero and if i'm ever in a pinch and want to win, i switch to him. he's a dps machine, but you have to be really smart with you turret placement. i try to move it as often as i can to keep the enemy guessing. i was consistently topping dps for my team in ow2. that said, the turret felt a lot squishier in ow2. i imagine this is due to us not playing barrierwatch anymore. i think overload giving the turret buffs, too, would be a good place to start.

Putting a turret on the frontline is a good way to get your turret blown up in two seconds. However OW2 seems so much more chaotic than OW1 (perhaps because no one knows the maps yet), that turret placement feels random at best. Granted I am not a Torb main, so maybe I'm just bad at it.
