well, I knew that was unlikely because the character after the first word was one wide, so it couldn't be something like III or VIII and nothing like that was long enough for the second word anyway

Got lucky and saw where this was going right away. Tried “terrible” first, thinking Ivan the Terrible. Then I realized the number of characters looked wrong and just tried to think of a variation of a title that was a longer word. Honesty surprised Conquerer came to me because I feel like I could have floundered on that for a while.
