1) Using two arguments, prove that work is a source of social integration.
2) Using an example, prove that innovation can help push past the ecological limits of growth.
3) Using an example, demonstrate how the State acting in favor of social justice could have perverse effects.

Not screened : another question worth 10 points where you have to prove that actually, social classes don't really exist / are an outdated concept.

It goes without saying that modifying any of those questions would automatically fail the entire class.

the only time i've actually used a dishwasher was after my grandpa's funeral last year when no one else in my family could figure out how to use the one he installed a few years ago (the secret was press and hold on the start button)

my parents had one that was probably original construction from the 60s, it never worked and was just used as another cabinet, then out of all the lovely apartments i went through post-college only one of them had a dishwasher and it was also some ancient broken bullshit.

you're right. it's the other way 'out' (like snowpiercer!) but i'll never be able to let myself believe that it could ever be 'out'. what's the difference between anprim and like, white core-settlers going camping on the weekends? it fulfills the same function, satisfies the same urge. escape.

but there is no escape. chasing that all the way the bitter end, accepting it absolutely, and turning back around claws out teeth bared - that is liberation. or as close as we can get.

towards the unpostable!

To be fair (not to put words into his mouth) but I'm pretty sure pnac is descended from the settled and not from settlers, and is living a modified tradition in defiance of capital more than an urge-satisfaction, and I respect that quite a bit.

It may not be generative of a Full Challenge to capital, but it does allow one a freedom that I'm not sure I have - to truly imagine what a world not ruled by capital would feel like.

The rain in Spain stays mostly in the...?

https://www.thejournal.ie/spain-heatwave-5769432-May2022/

quote:

AN UNUSUALLY EARLY heatwave brought extreme temperatures today to a large swath of Spain, putting the whole month of May on track to be the hottest this century.

Spain’s meteorological agency AEMET said the heatwave, caused by a mass of hot air coming from North Africa, had produced high temperatures up to 15 degrees Celsius above the seasonal average.

The worst-hit regions are Andalusia in the south, Extremadura in the southeast, Madrid and Castilla La Mancha in the centre and Aragon in the northeast.

Temperatures are expected to hit 39 degrees Celsius in Zaragoza in the northeast, 38 degrees in Seville in the south and 34 degrees in Madrid, sizzling conditions more usually seen in mid-summer than mid-May.

Heatwaves have become more likely due to climate change, scientists say.

As global temperatures rise over time, heatwaves are predicted to become more frequent and intense, and their impacts more widespread.

The Spanish health ministry urged residents to drink plenty of water, reduce physical activity and stay in cool places “as much as possible”.

Eric Solis, 32, who was visiting Madrid from the United States, said the heat was “a little bit concerning” and “not too convenient for tourists”.

“I was expecting a little bit cooler, fresher weather,” he told AFP.

The southern city of Jaen recorded a high of 38.7 degrees Celsius yesterday, its highest temperature for the month of May since 1883 and 15 degrees Celsius above the average high for this time of the year, said AEMET spokesman Ruben del Campo.

The month of May has been “very hot, much more than normal,” he told AFP.

“In 2015 we had an exceptionally warm month of May, it broke all sorts of records, and it seemed at the that time that a similar situation could not be repeated. It has been just seven years,” he added.

Del Campo said the meteorological agency will have to wait until the end of the month to know if it is the hottest month of May of the 21st century.

It broke the previous record from 7 years ago that for some reason people thought could not be repeated, but also tourists find it inconvenient

The ideal online community is self-moderating. That is, the community "gatekeeps" without giving unilateral powers to select members. 4Chan is a cesspool because the community doesn't truly self-moderate, which is in fact part of its ethos.
