This was originally an April Fool's 2017 thread that I posted, with the intent of making it look like I hit POST instead of REPLY in some LP thread. I let it run for a day (the first page and a half) before revealing my plan all along on the second: A New Dash Rendar LP! crow jokes, but the OP is actually on Page 2.

The Dash Rendar LP is a mix of genuine Dash Rendar game mods in various games (e.g., Galactic Battlegrounds, Jedi Knight, Half-Life, etc.) and some Dash Rendar-related shitposting, up to and including MSPaint Dash Rendar, Dash Rendar PhotoShops, Chrono Cross in the style of Cron Trag(?), and Dash Rendar gang tags, complete with guest updates from nine-gear crow and CJacobs.

If the game looks like it's running in fast motion, that's because it is. Shadows of the Empire was designed with 30 fps in mind (or, rather, the 10-20 fps it would fluctuate between on the N64), so running it at higher frame rates affects the actual gameplay speed.

I loving love when this happens in old games. No particular reason why, other than mild amusement that they coded run speed to something that would prove to be extremely variable on more powerful hardware.

This is the remastered SPECIAL EDITION of the original N64 Shadows of the Empire LP done nearly ten years ago.

And we're back! This is the Special Edition of the classic N64 Shadows of the Empire Let's Play!

"Blind Sally and Nine-Gear Crow arrive at Echo Base to deliver much needed supplies to the Rebel Alliance, only to find themselves involved in a daring snowspeeder battle against the Galactic Empire.

No evidence exists confirming Dash Rendar was present during the Imperial assault on Echo Base."

The following changes were made for the Special Edition:

code:

- Annoying hiss removed. Now crow and Sally sound like they're talking through a tube without the irritating background hiss!
- Peaks fixed. Cluch your headphones in agony while shouting "Ouch, Jesus!" no more! Audio peaks have been... de-peaked?
- Fade-in. Professional fade-in added to beginning of video, proper like.
- Opening text crawl sharpened. Easier on the eyes.
- Added dates and place names so as not to confuse the viewer.
- Now outdated "fun facts" have been corrected.
- Removed MANY of crow's redundant jokes, leaving only dash rendar's voice lines.
- A rock has been put in front of R2-D2.
- Images have been added so that dated pop culture references are less opaque.
- Removed MANY of dash rendar's voice lines to add room for more jokes
- Added pictures of Dash Rendar. You can never have enough.
- Added a "gently caress you, crow!" 
- Added additional snowspeeders. Makes the battle appropriately more hectic.
- Added SFX to emphasize the tow cable launch.
- Continued to prevent AT-ATs from screaming as they die. you're welcome
- Added more realistic shield generator explosion.

Did you remove that annoying mistake where Dash shot first, and waited for Greedo to try and shoot him and Han Solo with his twin blasters? And added those three-sided lightsabers that Greedo was carrying that would have made it necessary for Dash and Han Solo to shoot first, had it been necessary but they totally didn't because that isn't what the heroes do?
