My doctor gave me an additional medication, Wellbutrin, to offset the sexual side effects of my SSRI. Might be worth asking yours if there are any medications that could do the same for you. I'm not "grandpa watching NXT" levels of horny, but it definitely helped. Divorcing my abuser also helped.

Is it possible to have vaginismus without actual attempted penetration? Like if a spasm happens just from imagining it is that vaginismus?

Joan posted:Is it possible to have vaginismus without actual attempted penetration? Like if a spasm happens just from imagining it is that vaginismus? Yes. Vaginismus is specifically a response to attempted penetration, but in essence it's a phobia of penetration. As such, in a serious case that fear could be triggered by the thought of penetration without the accompanying act.

Is it remotely possible to gently caress someone bent over a bed without my feet, bare or socks, sliding all over the carpet? I think I even tried slippers to no avail.

Scoot them back toward you a little so their hips are a bit off the bed. Then you can more easily keep your body directly over your feet while thrusting, and you won't slide back.

Michael Transactions posted:How long should piv sex last? is 7 minute ok? https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/18331255/ As PittTheElder said, the real answer for how long it should last is “however long feels right to you and your partner.” It’s personal, so just focus on the people involved. However, statistically, according to Americans/Canadians, 3-7 minutes is considered “fine and normal” and 7-13 minutes is “preferable.” Globally, the intercourse duration median is 5.5 minutes (per a 2006 study https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/16422843/ ). All of this is to say that within the varied rainbow of human sexual experience, 7 minutes is totally normal and common. If you or your partner feel like it’s too long or too short, you can look for ways to make each other happier, but it seems fine to me.
|

|
And I would argue that aiming for a particular duration is silly, because in my experience it's highly variable based on how long you spend doing non-PiV stuff right before that. Sometimes PiV is the main event, but sometimes it isn't. But I'm sure there's many people who would disagree, different strokes for different folks and all that. The important thing is that it's working for you and your partner, what other people like doesn't matter.
