A MEGA EXPLODING posted:we adopted a pup from a rescue over the weekend, he was saved along with his sister from an awful "shelter". over the last few days he has gotten more comfortable with us, and I hope he gets more doofy as the days go on. also, he's such a good boi on the leash for being 5 months old I see he's learning the lesson "Things that taste bad in the yard" My dog Bull, aka Big Dog, had quite the comprehensive list that included but was not limited to: Butterflies, dry leaves, feathers, and bumblebees. Also, my yard was apparently skunk highway. The one lesson he never ever learned "If I aggressively sniff at this striped "cat", it will aggressively butt spray me in turn". He got nailed at least twice a year. Thank heavens for chemist Paul Krebaum, who devised a formula to neutralize skunk spray thiols. My niece has been begging for a cat for months, so: But his brother was sick, so my mom came back with two:  They're ridiculously small 2 month-old barn cats. Orange one bellyflopped into a dish of Catsure this morning and seems to be doing great. Even if my niece loses interest, it's fine. Mom's ready to keep both.

We had a family of foxes on the campus of a previous job, and sometimes the kits would sleep on people’s cars in the sun. In that case you were encouraged to expense a cab to and from home and avoid disturbing them.

There's foxes round where I grew up but I never saw a kit irl. Only just adults like 10-20 feet away at best, skittish as hell. Also there were lots of foxholes down by the creek, which scared me for some reason when I biked past them in the 3pm dusk. e: oh poo poo I did see an adult fox go into our kitchen and ate some of our cat's dry food though, poor thing must've been hungry.
