While I was looking at miniatures, I noticed a few common themes between repaints that I ended up putting to the side. Like these, I don't really know what this painting scheme is all about, but it seems like following the same pattern.   Sometimes people paint ships to look like they're part of the same group or squad, but I doubt it often works well with point costs and the meta to deploy them together.     Another common theme is cloaking ships. That's a mechanic in the game, pretty cool looking, easy to get lost on the background of space.      But the most popular theme of repaints by far is...                       It's kind of ironic that those are probably the most cringey or embarrassing of the repaints, but probably also the ones that take the most skill to do. It's a lot of very tiny details on a small, irregular surface. Inspired by paint jobs on actual historical planes, some may be classy, some are pretty pervy.
