Earthquake-proofing the oval for IndyCar sure is a funny thing for F1 to do, but I won’t argue.

Toyota should come back and have that second race be at Fuji :gritin:

I wonder - if you look one row down in that chart, might you find the reason Alonso was backing up Hamilton?

No, since Ocon had a 5 second penalty and at one point was on the radio telling Alonso to speed up and stop saving his tires otherwise he would lose another place.

It rules that you can drive as slowly as you want and as long as you don't hit anything or gently caress up a pit stop there's no way around whatsoever

For the criticism that Ricciardo gets (and deserves), I can't help but remember that he won a race when he had the chance, whereas Lando choked it away beyond belief. It's obvious that he needs to improve but it's equally obvious that it's valuable to have a more experienced driver on the team. I'm not sure I'd be super confident in a driver pairing of Lando and Piastri, or especially Lando and O'Ward (he's super good but I am very wary of people coming straight from IndyCar), until Lando is a little more mature. What I'm saying is that they should bring back Alonso.

lando's fuckup was down to in-experience and mclaren not having a clear workflow where lando understand what the pit wall has in terms of the big overview and more information to make the decision on tires in that extreme scenario.

what is ricciardo's excuse after years and years in F1?

The new fans of Formula 1 needed to see a naturally occurring Trulli Train for themselves, but hate that it had to be Alonso as the conductor.

It's not all about winning races, just look at the Champions League final. Sure, Real Madrid scored the only goal of the game, but Liverpool played better, so who is really the winner?

Then Hamilton was told to hold up Ocon which knocked Ocon out of the points and blessed vettel and bottas with points, which is very funny and cool.
