The threat display with their mouth open is generally their first recourse. Playing dead happens if that doesn't work and actually biting their attacker is pretty much a last resort. Yep, an enterprising TT user created a datamosh filter now, so there's no longer the need to go through the lengthy process of using vlc/whatever and a bunch of scripts to keyframe a datamosh yourself. You just stop recording the first bit and start on the second bit.

Honestly, a lot of cool tricks that you see are going to be filters. I'm hard pressed to think of a video editing "trick" that needs to be pain stakingly done by hand anymore.

That's loving fantastic which leads me to my next question: Is there a way to use it without having to post it to tiktok? Edit: It's ok, nobody has to answer this, I already know the answer is no. The fact this amazing technology is now $-gated on desktop (via a monthly charge for photoshop and then the charge for the plugin itself) and tiktok-gated on mobile kinda makes me feel sick to my stomach. The old days of PC users being on the cutting edge of everything at a cost of usually nothing are pretty much done for. ...I wonder if an Android emulator would let me treat my screen as a camera so I could run tiktok filters through video that way...
