I made a basic no toppings burger tonight for dinner because I was tired. I'm not a burgermeister or a photographer but I took a picture.

Just two smash patties with american cheese and some burg sauce I whipped up with random condiments. Buttered and toasted Aldi brioche buns, which a kind goon recommended and they're great store buns. And tots.

But I was proud of my humble burg. It was tasty.

Wow I am genuinely flattered, I was pretty impressed with myself but whenever I see other people’s results in here I feel like they’re on another level. I suppose a good burg isn’t massively complicated. I just read stuff like this thread and other cooking tips a lot.

It’s sort of lit a fire in me to keep burgin’ bigger and better though.

What this sausage party needs is a big dollop of ketchup! Too bad I didn't make any. :(

Meanwhile I burged lesser and smaller. I was bunless, so it's a patty melt?

It's a triple, though.

Does a burger have to have a bun? I say a patty melt is a burger, same as how a Luther is a burger.

I mean going back the hamburger is the meat patty. What we all talk about in thread are technically hamburger sandwiches.

Had some family over yesterday and decided to grind, went equal parts brisket, short rib, and sirloin. Thought I overcooked them a little on the grill yesterday but had some leftover patties for the cast iron today.

Tried my best to smash them but the patties were a little large at 6 oz to get a good lattice. Happy with the crust though. Little bit of one of the burgs broke off so that's the part on top.

basically every good burg/fry sauce is a thousand island base. it's just mayo and ketchup and then add some spices and splashs of other sauces

not great tbh, the slaw in the background was lackluster too. the burger was the only part that was exceptional, but boy was it.
