Danger: Carolina Reaper! :ohdear:

Had it on some tacos tonight and it the flavor was nice but it really wasn't that hot. Both the original Yucateco and XXXX Yucateco habanero sauces I have on hand are way more painful. It was on clearance thought so I figured I'd give it a whirl.

You might like the Bravado hot sauces, they have a Blueberry Ghost, a Carolina Reaper black garlic, a chile arbol/Moruga scorpion sauce, etc. All are stank hot but also taste good. Also, the Last Dab Apollo is surprisingly good for a sauce made from: pepper mash, pepper powder, pepper extract, and vinegar (all the Apollo pepper, surprisingly good in flavor but the heat climbs for - e - v - e - r. No bullshit I put a dime-sized dollop on one wing and I was straight ANGRY at how it lasted and kept increasing.)

A friend makes his own wing sauce with like a cayenne base plus butter plus some of that Apollo plus some extra stuff, makes for a good combination without melting your face.

And the Pineapple Habanero from Bravado was a perennial favorite among my coworkers, even the non-sauce folks, it got to the point where I was buying a couple bottles for the breakroom every 6 weeks or so. People were putting it on everything.

The black garlic reaper one is so so good. I’m not a huge hot sauce guy, but I’ll use a bottle up in a couple of weeks no problem.

I bought a Termacell (kinda like that, sorry for the Canadian link!) and it works decently if you turn it on 10-15 minutes before you go out. The charges run out surprisingly quick though.

Couple inches thick and solid as hell. Even got an engraving on the side for free. Fellow said he supplies the Ritz Carlton chain with boards along with Disney which doesn’t particularly impress me but it is interesting.

I've got those and we gifted the hiking version to my MIL. It's alright if you're staying in one place, but if you move too fast or there's a breeze, it blows away the repellent.
What we did this spring was to buy a shitton of mint, citronella, and lavender. No mosquitoes and my yard smells ridiculously fresh.

The most effective are these traps that can empty an entire area of mosquitoes, use propane to create CO2 and lure them in and trap them, works 24/7

Citronella doesn’t do dick for bugs but it does smell nice so it’s a land of contrasts. Permethrin is supposed to be pretty good, last for weeks/washes, and you can treat your gear with it but it seems dire if you get it on you skin while it’s wet so ymmv.

Ymmv with these. We had one, they rely on bait capsules of some sort, but for whatever reason the bait for the native species by me was discontinued and the old supply we had didn't seem to work any longer.

Possible something else was wrong with the setup, but I went through 2 or 3 propane tanks and an equal amount of bait sticks and I didn't seem to catch any meaningful amount of mosquitos in the little catcher compartment.

The local mosquitos will have evolved, insects tend to do that - take head lice/nits, they have to keep changing the formula because the wee bastards keep getting immune so fast that they can make it back round a school again before the new formula is out,
