My ragdoll Luna makes the same sound except its followed by purrs and afterwards she begs for pets so I'm not sure that's entirely true

I'm not sure that's right, from what I've read that chirping sound (most commonly known as trilling) is more of an "Oh Hello" noise that means the cat acknowledges you and is ready for affection. The right subset of skateboarding/punk culture is so goddamn pure and wonderful. I was big into that stuff as a teen and I'm so lucky to have met a bunch of really genuine and helpful older people in the scene. Also a lot of great political awakenings talking to those dudes. I still have my skateboard and keep meaning to get back out there, but I fell trying to drop into a bowl again when I was about 30 and my wrist was hosed up for what felt like years afterwards. That poo poo is rough. All the more reason to give support to the awesome invincible kids doing it though. I wistfully remember being able to throw my body at something for hours on end and bounce back by the next day.

I found a fledgeling dove this morning when I saw my dog sniffing at a weird pinecone. Dove is safe after relocation, hopped out of the box on its own so probably ready to fly soon.
