It's been clear from season 1 the show is "woke". Capitalism, white supremacy and right wing politics in general are routinely the bad guys from the start but for whatever reason it's only by season 3 they are realising. Maybe the secret nazi called "stormfront" using memes to sway public opinion was too subtle for them? It really is a fantastic show, as long as you don't mind gore (cos there is quite a bit of it) I highly recommend everyone gives it a look.
