I always loved in the original Xenosaga that chaos's weapons got cheaper with every upgrade, and if you read their descriptions, they're just worse and worse gloves, with his ultimate weapon just being lovely worn-out gloves with a bunch of holes in them, implying that he's been holding back his true power the whole game by not actually making direct contact with enemies until the end

the great tragedy is tht takahashi finally found a company thatll give him time and money to do buck wild evangelion poo poo and he doesnt seem to want to do them anymore. the xenoblades are cool but theyre like 5% as insane as gears/saga lol

I don't know if Xenoblade is supposed to be trilogy or not but maybe we'll get some wilder Xeno- stuff after XC3 I remember some interview with Takahashi somewhere where he basically said that the "Xeno" title just means it's a Takahashi joint, which I gotta respect
