This is a pretty funny anecdote.quote:A 48-year-old Indiana man crashed his vehicle through the gates of John Mellencamp’s Bloomington residence in an attempt to place the rocker under citizen’s arrest. Robert P. Carter then gained access to Mellencamp’s home by kicking in the front door, and police later arrested him inside the residence.

Spend two years not doing anything at all to make lives better for young voters, give them less money than Trump did, and then be surprised they don't like you? Like, pick a random issue that young leftish people care about, yes Trump or whoever can beat Trump in a primary will be worse, but Joe Biden hasn't done anything to make it better.

That guy's point is that biden's less popular among the youth than trump was at the same time in trump's presidency, that betrayal is more important than actual policy, and that the relentless negativity on social media is partly responsible for why the absolute focus is on betrayal. I think he's absolutely right. Rationally, biden is obviously less worse for everyone than trump, but we don't and never have voted rationally. Obviously, getting news from a variety of sources is better than getting news from one source, but social media presents the illusion of being source-agnostic and people delude themselves into thinking they're well-informed as a result. The problem here is that he thinks this is actually a revelation, or maybe that he thinks pointing this out is useful. Of course it isn't. A president that wants the support of the left has to do more than just be better than the most disgusting republican ever elected; he has to actually fulfill promises, and speak to the left, and adeptly navigate the new media landscape. Biden will be a one-term president and will be abandoned by critical components of his own party and groups that ought to be his own supporters not because he's actually worse than trump on policy, but because he's an addled ancient gropey milqetoast dipshit centrist lacking the capacity to act like a leader in the 21st century, while trump was and still is an addled ancient gropey angry hard-right racist with an absolute mastery at using modern social media and aggressively, consistently, relentlessly appealing to his base. Trump literally remade his political party in his own image. Biden hasn't even got an image. He's weak. Even the progressive youthful left hates weakness.

Social media is negative, partly due to algorithms feeding things, but also because that’s actually originating from, ya know, social sources, average people. Corporate media is not, and has an agenda much more sympathetic to Biden. Like, where does he think posts on social media come from in the first place, solely some conspiracy determined to undermine this administration?

This is sorta conspiracy level poo poo, but the reason inflation is going up and especially gas goining up I kinda think is a combination of MSB being pissed at Biden for calling him out for assassinating a journalist then dismembering him with bone saws so he could be smuggled out of a turkish embassy in small bags, and gas companies just wanting the Republicans in power again so they can get another tax break. So you know, it's cool we're gonna get a full on fascist government because of murderers and people willing to burn the world down for and extra 10% back on their income tax.
