It bugs me that Starlight still had her earrings in after Hughie teleported them. I guess it only leaves behind clothes! Come to think of it I hope he didn't have any fillings or anything either.

I do wonder how hard Homelander was going- he's never had to try before, this was a new experience for him in a lot of ways. I still think the herogasm aspect was a bit overhyped, it felt like a somewhat extended clip of that one supe hangout from season 1 to me. But then again a whole hour of cg porn wouldn't have worked, and for the tone and tension at this point of the show it's better that it's a bunch of loser supes loving than ALL of them. There was certainly no reason for him to hold back trying to kill Butcher with his eyes lasers, which is why I found it a little disappointing that even temp V Butcher could match him for a while. He certainly held his own way better than I thought he would against Soldier Boy and Butcher, both of which would presumably have way more experience in martial arts. Speaking of orgy, I did like the reveal that Soldier Boy started it. Dude is just hedonistic and wants to gently caress, get high and gives 0 shits about collateral damage.

When punches started being thrown and it almost immediately cut to MM and Starlight I was immediately reminded of mohinder_holds_door.gif (does anyone have that floating around, by the way?) but thankfully they didn't cheap out that hard. Good episode for being more payoff than setup.

I was hopeful when the scene started that they would show how brutal Nina was and why she should be feared. But instead they got out of that situation pretty easily and Nina just ran off like a Saturday morning cartoon villain.
