There's a busy rail line near my place. This morning workers removing brush on the embankment above the tracks dropped a bunch on the mainline. So far I don't think it's enough to be a problem but if I'm wrong or something entertaining happens, I'll take pictures for the thread. Edit: Took a picture anyway because I was bored. Didn't notice that trunk hanging down on the left the first time I looked. Looks like they're going to be using the (currently occupied) passing siding until someone gets there to clear it.

Is this an OSHA violation? -Independent contractor working on building a new deck. -Complained he got painful sunburn on his arms and face the day before. -Complained about how hot it was outside. -Showed up to work wearing the same outfit he wore the day before. -Tank-top, shorts, backwards hat. -Worked all day in clear-sky 95-degree weather, never once turning his hat around or putting on sunblock. -Says he can't work today because his sunburn is too painful, and he'll come back in a few days when he heals. lol

Actual OSHA: way back when I was a lifeguard we had a spreadsheet that everyone had to initial for every half-hour saying we were wearing sunscreen, and they had some at every station so there was no reason not to wear any. In dude's defense though, if you mess up and get a sunburn you're kind of hosed because even if you start using it you're just going to continue burning (albeit slower) until it heals.

Well as long as he doesn't then just drive away with zero viability. The paper mills I worked in had rolls that were way too long for the openings in the ancient buildings. It's a pain, and to be avoided as it's inefficient, but often the only way within reason that the job gets done.. As always, it's easy enough once you get your head around it.
