Chur, yeah actually it's an e-bike, which to some in this thread makes it as bad as an F150 I guess? Recumbent trikes are fun but IMO they have more disadvantages than advantages compared to a normal bike, particularly if you're riding in busy urban areas. That said it's cool to recline back in a huge comfy seat when cycling around. The body shell does a good job at keeping bad weather off which makes it easier to motivate myself to ride to work vs. jumping in the car.

on the highway to hell (interstate 90/94 in wisconsin), I see a lot of massive pickup trucks that are usually occupied by only the driver. Occasionally, there will be a passenger (THE WIFE). The truck bed is almost always empty, however they are used to tow important items like a six seater UTV (to roll over while drunk) or a boat that they are too cheap to dock near the lake they go to. At least the people driving or towing campers stay in the right lane and don't go faster than the speed limit. But you have to marvel at the idiot in the Dodge Ram hauling a six seat UTV on a Saturday morning at 90 mph, so he can maximize his day and a half AT THE LAKE. I too like to drive for hours on end in stressful traffic in the middle of nowhere, only to drive some more once I get to my destination. lol!

just loaded in a show using my lovely hatchback as the "work vehicle" as usual since it has the same size or larger bed than many modern trucks with the seats folded down. the truss came in a gigantic box truck with loading ramp of course the the genie comes on a flatbed. suits my needs. the theatres work truck is a 2003 or something tacoma with a 8 foot bed i think which i dont think u can even buy anymoire. problem with cars in america is the suv and crossover. if u must have cars there should be

1) lovely hatchback econobox (SEATS MUST FOLD DOWN FLAT)

2) station wagon (basically bigger hatchback... for LARGER LOADS or "quiverfull" people with 999 children

3) WINDOWLESS CREEP / TELECOM GUY style VAN (most Work use cases are VAN)

4) pickup (NO CREW CAB ALLOWED, 6 foot bed MINIMUM, roll-up windows, ETC, NO FRILLS)

my my thoughts on car types IF U MUST HAVE CARS.. which most ppl SHOULD NOT HAVE TO USE!!! instead should use TROLLY, SUBWAY, etc.

as an aside about the folly of cars someone in the show had their prius literally stolen the other day. this is crazy but also I FOUND IT driving around with the person, WITH THE THIEF (or maybe some random crackhead who found it) STILL INSIDE THE CAR!! i am pretty sure it jacked with a keyfob MITM cloner since its pushbutton start and there were no signs of forced entry and the owner had the fob on them the whole time. the COPS said "theres a huge uptick" in this recently with prius. i think maybe someone cracked their encryption and released it or something? i read u can just put a little box near the car and when someone uses their keyfob it just clones it and then viola u now have the key. pretty cool i guess but also fail. that was an insane night. driving down some street at 2:30am spamming the clicker and then SEEING IT PARKED, ALL DOORS OPEN, CRACKHEAD SMOKING CRACK in the driver seat. absolutely insane. lmao. gently caress!! and he's a neighborhood creature who i see around all the time so now i think he might be mad at me which sucks because im a Public Figure in my neighborhood. This is 145,000 square feet per person versus 600,000 square feet per person. Do you really think that extra space makes that big of a difference?

It's likely more about the infrastructure and government policies.
