These days, if you put a heterocyclic white man on the money, they say "no we can't take this your money isn't BLT+ enough", and then they burn it, right in front of your face, and then you are arrested and turned into a gender. That's what they do these days.

I suppose some quantity of the new population would be trans guys, so both ethicists and terves would hate it. The 'pro-life' response was pretty predictable though. "Life begins at conception, embryos are human, ban all embryo research!" "Okay we've managed to make one without conception, problem solved right?" "Haha no, you thought our worldview was based on anything rational?"

I do have ethical concerns about spermless babies in the sense of that technology being used for evil dystopian stuff but then, at that point, I should become a luddite and oppose all technology. It's kinda like a completely automated worker robot, where there is a huge difference between the product of that technology being owned by the people or being owned by private entities.

Yeah unethical companies will just use predominantly African-American prison slave labor in the southern states through a subsidiary called Not The Royal African Company to wash their hands before they'll use a high tech birthing program, because that still means you've got to feed and train a bunch of kids. The funniest thing really is that despite how much these people wank off about the past and how things were done and the war, history shows that going off like a mad oval office about birth rates and patriotic parenting and promising a tin medal for every three kids historically did gently caress all to change birth rates. That's why the Neoconfederates are going for the remove-all-choice route, terrible as it is.

Like men at that point would not be a thing that exists, they would be essentially a mythological creature. So unless the concept of masculinity is inherently preserved in the human brain, presumably if you created an amazon society then it would just stop existing outside of stories. I find the idea that man/woman as roles only exist in opposition to each other surprisingly compelling, if you removed one then both would cease to exist, and presumably new clades would develop from the remaining one. There were some feminist authors that wrote about that I think, watched a video about it a while ago, was interesting. OwlFancier fucked around with this message at 18:20 on Jul 3, 2022 |

The Italians only got a decade or so to try it out, and a good chunk of it was amidst a certain amount of instability, to say the least - so it's not the best example Of all the socialist governments that engaged in pro-natalist policies across the 1970s, Romania's measures were exceptionally severe, including a revival of bans on abortion similar to that practised in the Soviet Union in the 1936-1955 and bans on contraception and monthly surveillance of childbearing-age women - and the resulting baby boom only lasted a couple of years before declining again anyway Turns out, it's hard even with an actually-existing police state to achieve natalist success

As with many other things (gender ideas and birthrates being two from this page) cultures are a lot more resilient to that sort of change than many fear or would like.
