But now your teachers see you as an extremely bright student who just refuses to write, even though you are trying as hard as you can. They often end up treated as oppositional defiant particularly if they are poor or a POC. So yeah put all that poo poo in the spectrum. That would also stop rich dipshits from wanting a label seen as positive put on the normal kids that creates a situation where many people that actually have the difference are miscategorized harmfully.

'gifted' is a diagnosis now? When I was in school it just meant you tested out of the normal classes and got punished for it by being put in a room with all the other annoying know-it-all kids and forced to do sudoku for hours on end

If you need to find those kids there will almost certainly be a bunch at Pine View down in Sarasota county in FL. They aggregate the cohort across a full county there so there are more in one place than even the big school systems in large cities, which only tend to form a cohort from districts smaller than a county.

To go back to the G&T derail, it wasn’t until I was in my 20s that I realized my great G&T program in an integrated school was defacto resegregation. Rich & MC white kids and a sprinkle of MC black kids in G&T, everybody else in poo poo classes.

My family has three generations, though only two diagnosed. So the adhd and autism are different in how the neurons are affected. Is the G&T and autism similar? Also they’re all such a pain in the rear end. Developmental things being out of order sucks even when it’s just some things being early sucks.
