I need to figure out scanning, because I subscribed to Fantomen (Swedish for The Phantom) and every issue has PANELS.

Popular culture has passed you by.
Why does Superman wear a top hat with his own face on top? Is he trying to rip off Buff "The Stuff" Bagwell?

Lobok

Say Watt?

The face is the obvious weird part but what's going on with his S crest? It's a huge, 3-dimensional plate and is on top of another plate that is even wider. Seems like it's poking into his upper arms as well.

Even the jutting S is unnerving. Cronenbrrg needs to make a movie out of that panel

I'm guessing that's New 52 era Superman where his suit was articulated armor instead of long johns.

Good going, Zdarsky, on making a Google-proof comic name.

I think the comic solicitation belongs here:

quote:

This fun and heartfelt series written and illustrated by Eisner winner CHIP ZDARSKY (SEX CRIMINALS, Daredevil) explores a WILD ALTERNATE WORLD where comic book creators aren’t properly acknowledged or compensated for their creations!! Crazy, I know!!

Hi, it’s me, CHIP! I’m writing this solicitation!

His name is unique enough. Imagine how it would turn out if he'd go by his more generic given name.
Everyone will be interested in a book with such exciting reviews.

I did like that and I do like Chip's writing style. His art is nice too.

Also, apparently, he became the lead writer for Batman? How did that happen? That's weirdly intriguing.

Yeah, fair enough. That run is awesome. But honestly, I can't see him writing a good Batman. Mainly because Batman is boring. But also because most of that extended universe is bland.
I guess I'll try looking it up at some point.

Buddy, it’s a silly joke from a silly manga where the princess gets “tortured” by being given good food and nice companions. Once, she met a giant hamster named Hamongus. Don’t worry about it too much
