It's probably stuff in her life you have no control over. That happened with me and my wife, we had a few dates but then her grandmother was diagnosed with cancer. Between that and her pill popping mom dating was kinda off the table. Then about 10 months after her grandma passed we reconnected. That was 7 years ago at this point.

It's always a right time at the right place for two people to meet and match. Both parties have to be somewhat in the same headspace for it to work in my experience. If I had met my now wife a few years earlier it would have never worked and we probably would have never dated. still sucks to get rejected, but it things felt good then it was likely a symptom of a different problem for her and not wholly (or actually) about you / your behavior and desirability

The scramble for food once the autofeeder goes off is pretty fun. The downside is one cat is a grazer, the other one gobbles everything down quick and will push my grazer out of her food. Not cool, Katya, not cool.

They're gone now (and suitably missed, for the little goddamned assholes they were) but I had one cat who would very carefully paw out a single bit of kibble and eat it over and over again, and another who if given her way would have shnorked up an entire 5 lb bag of food before immediately puking over and over again. I eventually settled on those little puzzle feeders where you put food in a ball and they have to roll it around to make it come out. The first cat was just like...well this is how I like to eat anyway. The second got bored of the game of eating before she was able to eat enough to kill herself.

We also have ugly old brown carpet so I'm a little reluctant to get one and then find dry food ground in to the carpet because it blends in pretty well. It's happened before when one of them got too excited and knocked a food bowl over.

I was the youngest of my college friend group.
