So I don't know the detail of the shooter. But just looking from the big picture, Abe has been turning himself into a harder and harder right wing figure head in Japanese politic the last 10 years, both as PM and after stepping down. He is like a big anchor that tie the giant LDP boat to the right side. With him gone the LDP boat has more freedom to reorient itself in the new ocean current post Ukraine war reshuffle. Also keep in mind that the whole reason he let his butler Suga-man to take the PM role roll off him is that Suga-man can keep the politic in the same direction but take all the Olympic 2020 and Covid blame for him. Now think about it, if he wasn't thinking about shooting for the PM role a third time, why would he care about not taking the political poo poo stain? That's my conspiracy of today.
