I lurk in a lot of weather groups, and while the experts there were dismissive and mocking of the earlier reports of 40C+ in the UK, they are getting increasingly nervous as more models indicate a push in that direction. Most are saying that they don't think it will hit 40C this time around, but they are saying this with less certainty than they were in previous days. It's going to be very hot though, so please check up on vulnerable friends, relatives and neighbours.
