Innominate is my HR character. I do not normally log into him, hardly ever. Random alliance members who get cyberstalked send detailed dossiers to me when they need help with something related to sexual harassment. For the last 6 months, as Delta squad has kept up their non-stop campaign of high quality posting, something that hadn't been allowed within the corp, for years, it has caused me to not give a poo poo about anything but twitch subs. You see, hardly anyone would ever send me reports, but occasionally, like once or twice a month, someone would. Every 6 months would then log in Innominate, and respond, edcuating the person it was better to send me a forums PM or just go gently caress themselves. However, Delta dumb gimmick has made the "No creepsters" function effectivley useless to me and I have to now log Innominate in every day just to clear ban all you fucks. Its infurtiating. Can you guys please find some other stupid gimmick to occupy your time and stop creating more work for me, who already has too many loving things to do?

Here's a abridged repost of what the Imperium have been up to in 2022 as written by a Karmafleet director:

The Imperium: Best Possible Friends, Worst Possible Enemies

In general, our friends within the Imperium are doing great, each contributing positively to our war efforts and continuing to prove their prowess in our most recent deployments. Before we get into depth with some of the more major events and the stories behind them, I’d like to offer condolences congratulations to the four Imperium delegates who made it onto CSM 17. From all of us at Corps Diplo, we wish Kazanir, Angry Mustache, Brisc Rubal and Pandoralica the best of luck with the coming months of CSM work.

Tactical Lawn Narcotics Initiative

Our staunch allies The Initiative, a true Fountain of content creation and killmails, have continued to fight alongside us in our two recent deployments, and in recent larger engagements many of you have flown under an INIT FC. While they've been deployed there has been considerable change in their home region of Fountain. While the region’s sovereignty was previously held by both The Bastion and INIT, with Bastion's closing all of Fountain is now under Initiative sovereignty. We’ll cover Bastion’s closing in more detail later in this section.

Both TNT and LAWN have taken on a majority of The Bastion’s remaining corporations that wished to stay within the Imperium’s family of alliances, each growing in strength and otherwise continuing to prove incredibly consistent, reliable and strong allies that we’re proud to fight alongside.

In from the Cold: Siberian Squads and Invidia Gloriae Comes

As we touched on in the last update, in the midst of the Beeitnam war we had a couple of new friends join our cause and help us fight the good fight. Siberian Squads, who left Legacy to join us, and Invidia Gloriae Comes, who joined us in the later stages of the war, while our backs were to the wall. Both Siberian Squads and IGC joined the coalition as trial members at the time, helping us to set the galaxy ablaze.

We are very happy to say that both SBSQ and IGC have been welcomed as full Imperium member alliances, with SBSQ taking up residence in Querious, and IGC in Period Basis. Both alliances have proven themselves to be strong, stalwart allies, with SBSQ in particular forging a strong bond with Dracarys, and coordinating regularly with our military operations. We have thoroughly enjoyed our time together so far, and look forward to the coming months and years of working closely with our newest coalition partners.

One bad apple Mango spoils the bunch: Army of Mangos and Ranger Regiment

The world of diplomacy isn’t always about forging bonds and strengthening relationships. An equally important part of the job is making tough decisions, having difficult conversations and ending relationships instead. In early January, Army of Mangos, an alliance formerly associated with the now defunct Legacy coalition, decided to close its doors due to the pressure of holding space against assaults. Their space had come under siege from their former PAPI allies - the XIX-led coalition, FIRE, and long-term rivals Fraternity. For those unaware, AoM was/is the same entity as the de-facto winners and rulers of the Serenity server - the Pan Intergalactic Business Community, or PIBC. This blood feud with Fraternity stems from their shared history on Serenity.

In his Fireside speech, the overall leader of AoM/PIBC, Mantou, addressed their members to explain the state of their war following a successful defense of their staging keepstar in R-A, the reasons for their loss of sov in Omist and the reason for their choice to shutter the Army of Mangos alliance. Key among those reasons was their inability to join the Imperium as a member alliance, which caused them to choose to deepen their “special relationship” with Ranger Regiment - which was at the time an Imperium member alliance - and fully merge themselves into RR, with their command structure fully intact, effectively taking control of the Imperial alliance.

Shortly prior to this, AoM had transferred their staging keepstar in R-A to the Imperium, with an agreement for AoM to have time to evacuate, with the expectation that their corporations would have time to find new homes across the game’s many entities. Ranger Regiment’s agreement to this action, without informing or coming to an agreement with Imperium leadership, was a breach of trust which resulted in RR’s expulsion from the coalition. The now formerly Imperium alliance was given 7 days of blue standings to either leave, or have their corporations find new homes. The resulting mass exodus of former RR and AoM corps caused both alliances to slip into obscurity and inactivity, with their membership flooding to other Imperium alliances, such as Dracarys, or other entities throughout the game.

As a final consequence for this duplicitous transgression, the Imperium’s leadership decided to pull the fuel out of the R-A keepstar, allowing the structure to go “abandoned”, meaning asset safety no longer worked. Once this was done, the Keepstar was cracked open like a pinata, unleashing a tidal wave of loot to flood space for hours on end.

Dracarys takes flight: Scorching Catch, Tenerifis and Impass

Our dear friends, Dracarys, who are stalwart allies who held their ground with the rest of the Imperium in the defensive war against PAPI, also proved to be truly formidable ally after the war in helping bolster our relatively weak CNTZ, and the rebuilding of the Delve perimeter in Querious and Catch. They have been steadily growing, and are looking likely to be the next CNTZ powerhouse.

Dracarys joined the Imperium alongside Ranger Regiment and Iron crown all the way back in early 2020, not too long before the start of the Beeitnam war. Dracarys’ beginnings in the coalition were humble, but impressive, with the alliance quickly proving itself capable of holding its own despite its relatively smaller size. These promising beginnings have held throughout the intervening years, and under Windy’s leadership, Dracarys thoroughly impressed throughout the war, remaining strong and active. With both Iron Crown and Ranger Regiment having both parted ways with the Imperium, Dracarys’ successes have drawn many to join their ranks.

After the collapse of RR and AoM, many of those corps joined up with Dracarys. With their increasing strength and impressive numbers, DC have made effective use of their capabilities to engage in content across the galactic southeast, claiming and capturing a wide swathe of sovereignty - now holding large portions of Catch, Impass and Tenerifis. However, in New Eden no display of strength and expansion is left unchallenged, and Dracarys’ long term rivals Fraternity set their sights on our draconic friends’ borders. More on this later.

A Fond Farewell: The Final Days of The Bastion

On April 16th, The Bastion publicly announced that it would be closing. The alliance formally closed just under a month later, on May 6, 2022 – the 8th anniversary of the creation of the Bastion. The Bastion was formed all the way back in 2014 under Carneros’ stewardship, as a result of a merger between two CFC alliances - Li3 Federation and Gentlemen’s Agreement. They took up residence in Vale of the Silent until the Casino War. After the conquest of Delve, Bastion lived first in Delve, and then moved to Fountain to live alongside INIT, where they remained until their closing.

After eight years of stalwart leadership, Carneros had taken a new job, which was keeping him away from EVE and the Alliance that he had successfully led for nearly a decade. With a total top-down change in leadership being neither feasible nor desired by the membership, some Bastion corporations left to join other alliances, and a significant number reformed The Bastion into The Night Watchmen [NWM.], and joined Goonswarm as a member corporation. The majority of their remaining corporations have found homes within some of our other long-time allies, especially TNT and LAWN.

We would like to thank Carneros, his leadership team, and all Bastion pilots for years of excellent work, and we look forward to continuing to enjoy hanging out with you all in fleets and at meets for years to come.

The Galaxy at large: Updates on Non-Imperium Entities

Outer Passpi: TEST failed successfully

An amusing situation, to say the least, is the utter collapse of one of New Eden’s most storied alliances. TEST, having fallen a long way from their days at the helm of the Legacy coalition in the galactic south, have moved to the Outer Passage region, hiding behind the skirt of their PAPI allies in Horde, NC and XIX. A glance at their Dotlan page tells a striking story - their membership has collapsed to less than half since the beginning of 2022 - falling below 7000 pilots. Combined with their lackluster showing in fleets, often contributing numbers that pale in comparison to their former capabilities as well as their allies, one can only surmise that their membership has fled to greener pastures. Only time will tell whether TEST will recover and become more relevant again in the future.

Out of the Blue Donut rose a Paragon’s Soul

One of the more interesting, newer groups that emerged from the chaos of Beeitnam was VAPOR, also known as Out of the Blue. VAPOR formed as an attempt to create an independent sovereign alliance in the USTZ, and not just be another PAPI bloc alliance. Initially forging a bond with Volta, they broke off during the war and started harassing the occupants of Fountain while we had been forced out of that region. Once INIT had retaken Fountain, VAPOR worked with INIT under a merc contract and transitioned to a mercenary alliance - taking on work with AOM, RMC and others.

Once the power vacuum in the galactic south was established at the end of that war, VAPOR drifted through the chaos to find their calling, eventually moving into Paragon Soul, settling on the border to Period Basis, where they forged a friendship with the Imperium and RMC both, and looked inward to bolster their capital capabilities to support their ambition to remain a content-creating mercenary alliance, focusing on small-mid scale engagements. We have been working with VAPOR for a number of months and have enjoyed their competent, straightforward attitude toward cooperation.

Unfortunately, however, running an alliance isn’t an easy task (trust us) and with the general state of the game proving an unappetising environment for VAPOR’s leadership, they made the difficult call to wind down their alliance. We’d like to wish VAPOR’s members the best of luck wherever they decide to go, and we hope to see them on grid again soon.

Slumlords in the East: PanFam

Hiding out in the East, PanFam currently occupies the dronelands. Neighbouring their territories are Fraternity, with whom they enjoy a tenuous peace (despite occasional drama with Noraus) to their northwest, and their allies in FIRE to their southeast, PanFam seem to have been making themselves busy hoovering up whatever talent they can from TEST, whom they have given shelter to in Outer Passage.

In addition, in stark contrast to our policy of outlawing renting - a practice which minimises the amount of viable space in the game for smaller entities to try their hand at nullsec life, Horde and friends have continued on with their rental schemes - drawing in vast amounts of ISK exploiting smaller entities who cannot face the might of an organised bloc. In true slumlord fashion indeed, PanFam moved in on a set of regions that we had scoured clean and left for small, independent entities to settle (much as we had previously in Tribute), and turned them into their new rental holdings. We’ll talk about that more later.

FIRE in the Hole

The eastern conflict directly preceding the current one (which we’ll get to shortly) has been a rather interesting cascade of events following on from the collapse of Legacy and the resulting power vacuum in the Southeast. With Esoteria, the former primary holding of TEST’s now defunct empire, in a state of abandonment, multiple entities vied for control of the region. Foremost among them are the opposing Russian coalitions, Red Menace Coalition - which defected to join the Imperium’s side in the middle of the Beeitnam war, and FIRE, the XIX-led coalition of Russian alliances which Red Alliance / RMC broke away from. This bitter rivalry has a long history, and as tensions rose, we saw a war break out in the surrounding area, with the primary players in this conflict being RMC, FIRE, and the ever-present residents of Stain, StainRus.

Seeking to support our friends in RMC, and take advantage of a wealth of content, we deployed the Goonswarm Expeditionary Force, or GEF to the area. Esoteria is an immediate border region to our core holdings, so we have a vested interest in who controls the area. After two months, GEF was able to glass two and a half regions of space, prompting multiple groups to try (and fail) to prevent our onslaught. In the process, multiple entities defected and self destructed their sov. The newly liberated portion of space was then opened up to new, independent groups to try their hand at Sov Null life, allowing groups such as Linknet to shift into Nullsec life from their Highsec origins and core.

Unfortunately, after achieving our goals of torching the space and having undeployed GEF, unrepentant slumlords PAPI decided to push back into the area to reclaim the space, forcing the fledgling independent Nullsec alliances out, instead opting to turn the scorched area into their new rental grounds. In the process, The Enemy also began to lay siege to Dracarys’ holdings in Impass, destroying a Keepstar in 68FT. That sort of aggression against Imperial assets cannot be allowed to stand, clearly, and thus did the conclusion of one war lead into the ignition of a new one.

Winter has come for Dracarys. - a tale of Gneiss and FIRE

WinterCo went back to their vast holdings in the North after extracting from Beetinam invasion against us, with relatively little damage received from the war. Of all the PAPI forces, Fraternity have been regenerating the fastest and most unhindered. Like Pandemic Horde, FRAT has taken in many corps from TEST as they have continued to collapse, and hence expanded their influence outside the Chinese timezone. With the collapse of PIBC/AoM and Ranger Regiment not long after the war, they emerged as one of the biggest winners of the war, despite being on the losing side.

Fraternity and friends have been busy causing trouble across different regions for quite some time. Most recently, they have assaulted Imperium member Dracarys in Catch and Impass alongside their PAPI comrades. As mentioned previously, FRT and Dracarys are natural rivals, both vying for the position of the galaxy’s dominant CNTZ faction. The Imperium is committed to standing with our brothers and sisters in Dracarys, however, and as a result of this aggression a State of the Goonion was called. As a result of this, for the first time in years, a full-scale deployment of the entire coalition was ordered; many of PAPI’s members had only witnessed the might of the Imperium in a defensive setting in our core territory. This war would be different, as we march to war in unison.

Our objectives in this war are clear, reasonable, and achievable. Unlike the ludicrous extermination wargoal PAPI set for themselves in Beetinam, we have a simple mission.

“It is our task and our purpose to deliver stark consequences and reinforce the border of our Imperium. Until such a time as FIRE agrees to stop hosting Papis in their space, we will punish them, and destroy all Papis in our border zone. We are reasonable and willing to make and stick to treaty obligations, but this is the time to demonstrate the other aspect of our nature: to be the best possible friend, and the worst possible enemy.”

If you’ve not yet caught a ride to GE-, go ahead and get caught up on the Standing Orders thread and get deployed to the front lines. Dust off your vessels of war, get situated, and get ready to burn our enemies to ash. Good hunting.

A BRAVE New World: Dunk-in Donut No Longer

After taking control of Brave formally, Dunk Dinkle has made good on his promise to take his fun-per-hour focused alliance to the Northwest and resettle as an independent entity - free from affiliation with the major blocs. Brave is currently blue with the “GTC coalition”, which is composed of Volta and friends, and counts itself as a strong ally and supporter of GTC. While they have managed to live in relative peace for a while in the northwestern region of Pure Blind, they have stayed true to their commitment to recreate their place in the galaxy by moving away from their former PAPI ties. As such, PAPI has harassed them consistently throughout their time there.

In addition, the newest in a string of flashpoints emerged in the Brave/GTC space of Pure Blind and Fade, with Fraternity having declared war against Volta. In a speech to his alliance, Noraus outlined his issue with Volta - an entity with whom they had over a year’s stable peace thanks to a Non-Invasion Pact, or NIP. Fraternity has opened a war against them, due to Noraus’ distrust of Volta’s “AFK leadership”, which somehow makes Volta unreliable and a scary concept to the CNTZ juggernaut. Noraus states that he doesn’t harbour any animosity toward Brave themselves, and sees a future in which Volta is eradicated, leaving Brave to stand alone in Pure Blind as a neutral buffer entity between the Imperium and WinterCo.

However, it looks as though Fraternity is struggling with balancing their war in the southeast against Dracarys, their enormous holdings in the north, and their war in the northwest with Volta. Unfortunately for them, as the Casino War proved to the Imperium many years ago, it isn’t easy to hold a ridiculous swathe of space and defend it all. And as such, this split attention is already yielding some rather comical results, such as Brave successfully fending off a Fraternity attack, causing comedy to ensue on Reddit, as I’m sure you’ve all seen.

We will be keeping an eye on the conflict as it develops in the northwest, and we wish Brave luck in defending their holdings against WinterCo’s assault.
