drying the beans in the oven is a good idea. you're right, it's getting moisture out of the burgs that's the hardest part. gonna try this with flax eggs.

are you drying your squash as well? I would think that would add a ton of moisture back into the burger otherwise.

I'm not yet, but that is something to try.

Almost forgot. After combining all the ingredients, chill it in the fridge before making it into patties. Seems to help it firm up and hold better while cooking.

Not gonna stoop to reading qcs, so I'll bow out of this particular drama.
I do hope to be able to keep reading this thread though because it produces, sometimes, informative and funny content. The more it becomes the monthly courtyard shitter of a qcs thread, less I will be compelled to do so.

I appreciate your commitment to pure philosophy, but I'm OK with the arbitrariness of my beliefs about animated kiddie torture porn. there is no greater principle I'm appealing to - it's just gross, and nasty, and I don't think this community should harbour gross and nasty people who like to chat about this gross and nasty stuff.

we've got a little while to go before the world blows up. I'd prefer to spend our remaining time not in the company of pedophilia enjoyers.

We still have an ace up our sleeves: if we did just a teensy weensy little nuclear war, it might help get global temperatures under control. The downside would be that we couldn't grow food outdoors for a while, and the oceans would die.

https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2022/07/220707100953.htm

quote:

Russia's invasion of Ukraine has brought the threat of nuclear warfare to the forefront. But how would modern nuclear detonations impact the world today? A new study published today provides stark information on the global impact of nuclear war.

quote:

In all of the researchers' simulated scenarios, nuclear firestorms would release soot and smoke into the upper atmosphere that would block out the Sun resulting in crop failure around the world. In the first month following nuclear detonation, average global temperatures would plunge by about 13 degrees Fahrenheit, a larger temperature change than in the last Ice Age.

quote:

Ocean temperatures would drop quickly and would not return to their pre-war state even after the smoke clears. As the planet gets colder, sea ice expands by more than 6 million square miles and 6 feet deep in some basins blocking major ports including Beijing's Port of Tianjin, Copenhagen and St. Petersburg. The sea ice would spread into normally ice-free coastal regions blocking shipping across the Northern Hemisphere making it difficult to get food and supplies into some cities such as Shanghai, where ships are not prepared to face sea ice.

Maybe the thing to do is set off the nukes and hide in vaults until things get better?

quote:

Oceans take longer to recover than land. In the largest U.S.-Russia scenario, ocean recovery is likely to take decades at the surface and hundreds of years at depth, while changes to Arctic sea ice will likely last thousands of years and effectively be a "Nuclear Little Ice Age." Marine ecosystems would be highly disrupted by both the initial perturbation and in the new ocean state, resulting in long-term, global impacts to ecosystem services such as fisheries, write the authors.

Try not to become too consumed
With what's a criminal volume of oil that it takes to paint a portrait
The acrylic, the varnish
Aluminum tubes filled with latex
The solvents and dye

Let’s just call this what it is
The jealous side of mankind's death wish

Gonna leave behind things that won't decompose

Try not to dwell so much upon
How it won't be so very long from now that they laugh at us for selling
A bunch of 15 year olds made from dinosaur bones singing "oh yeah"
Again and again
Right up to the end
