I remember seeing Hubble Ultra Deep Field back in 2004 and just staring at it for hours. Every picture Webb has released seems to have the same level of detail in the background, completely incidental to the subject of the image.

It really is too much. Years ago I got a really basic astronomical telescope, and the first time I saw Andromeda, and then Saturn's rings, were the closest I've ever felt to having a really powerful religious feeling. I'd seen images of them before, plenty of them, but looking up into the night and seeing them for myself was beyond anything.

The 12K images on the site are sick. It's fun zooming in to a cluster of specks and realizing every one of them are clearly galaxies with visible spirals and whatnot.
