Is 20k (even though it’s 19.6k as of posting) good for all of us as a number to stay at? I know there’s certain numbers that small time miners can tolerate vs big ones, and for different periods of time. I can’t imagine btc will die any time soon but if it’s unprofitable for GPU miners and dumb Texans that’s good enough for me.

Mining profitability is based on how many other people are mining anyway, so it will continue to happen no matter how these cryptocurrencies cost--it's just a matter of how much mining they can support at any given price. If Ethereum dropped down to $500 and stayed there, you'd see over half the current miners give up most likely, but there'd still be too much miner demand for new cards to my taste.Space Fish posted:Google phone user over here, have owned a Nexus 4, 5X, Pixel 1, 2, and 5, and have not experienced any of the issues y'all are talking about. Maybe the Pixel 3(a)(XL) is the issue? Got a Pixel 5a with their $9-a-month 2-year subscription (so, $216), and so far I've had zero complaints, though my needs are very simple. They'll send me a 7a once that comes out apparently, but I may just cancel the subscription at that point and keep the 5a for another couple years. I had a Pixel 2 for four years before the 5a and I liked that too, even if I was struggling with a rapidly dying battery by the end. I would've just replaced the battery and kept that phone going if i had more confidence in smartphone repairs. (especially since the 5a isn't really that much more capable)

I have a theory, which is what if we do the technical poo poo and double bottom (lowest price hit twice) where we did last cycle? Where BTC bottomed at $4k? Or maybe bring it down to $2k, where celsius and probably Saylor will also liquidate? Either way would work.

The best get-rich scheme right now is to simply buy lots of bitcoin when it dips below $20K and sell once it goes above. If you're a day trader you can absolutely clean up right now, or just have a bot do this trade for you. "No risk".

Yeah I think maybe that's a bad idea given transaction delays and gas fees, and also given how much of the sales to boost it above 20k are likely just wash trading

Also, the exchanges are corrupt and can absolutely jigger the timing of your trades so you take the losses. I am in fact quite sure they have positioned themselves to take the other end of that particular churn. If they haven't, they're not just greedy, they're stupid.

My Pixel 4 nightmare is that the glue holding the back wore out and the entire backplate of the phone fell off. My personal phone is a OnePlus. I'm a sucker for OnePlus because they are the most bang for bucks in terms of raw processing power. Work makes us use a Samsung A52 and the experience is kind of nicer there. Sometimes my OnePlus has the odd jank that the Samsung never has. Camera is nicer. Screen, too. But maybe it would also feel bankier if I had a million apps and connected devices running on the Samsung. Anyhow that's my smartphone chat contribution. Don't buy flagships they're dumb.
