Mid-August. CA pushed back the big multiplayer tournament final to August 13/14 so it could be played on the 2.0 patch, so Immortal Empires is probably coming on the Thursday right before or right after that weekend.

Didn't you mean to ask about flowers?
I think Skarbrand will work himself out in that even if he endangers a majority of his neighbors he isn't going to methodically carve out a multi-province domain and get a bunch of free confeds for normal fights or just existing(which is how Grimgor and Malekith/Thogrim do it.) He will also auto-dec everyone he meets and risk having his land taken even as his 1-2 starter stacks feast on cheap skellies and zombies.

still, extremely hype for IE. Here’s hoping for either performance improvements or cheaper GPUs

Ai doesn't tend to spam them nor use them well, and they have awful leadership. If you can keep them from hammer and anvil-ing your troops you are fine. The biggest annoyance is that you can't really turn guns and crossbows on them until they are already in on you.

If you are playing as skarsnik and can use then well, they own though. 420 shiv dwarfs erry day.

Looking at the east, it's obvious where the chorf void is. We know Kholek starts somewhere north of the Mountains of Mourn (so either roughly east or northeast of Grimgor), and Archie very likely starts near or at where he did in ME (so roughly west or northwest of Grimgor, and South-ish of Boris). So that might spice things up a bit. The absence of hats of incredible size is very noticeable though. Once they show up that area might be a lot more busy.

Sigvald is likely somewhere up in the northwest corner of the map, so he gets to hatefuck fight Dark Elves, Grombrindal, maybe some Norscans, and hopefully Taurox. Be'lakor is on Albion ready to get dunked on by the gods again.

I'm wondering where they're going to put the 4 DLC lords. There's a lot of space down in the southern wastes (poor Oxyotl is noticeably alone down there), so that could be one or even two of them, but where else could they go?

If I had to guess, Tzeench in Cathay to put pressure on the wall, nurgle in Lustria to play with Skrolk, Khorne probably wedged in between Morathi Mazdamundi and Cylostra, and then new Slaanesh lord gets the south pole to fight Oxyotl.

That or they spring a FreeLC norsca lord down south.

Edit: God the Khorne champion getting dropped between Mazda, Morathi, and Cylostra would be such an absolutely beautiful clusterfuck killbox. Way more fun Skarsbrand fighting forever skeletons and skaven slaves.

But let me say, Khuresh's T2 archers are so underpowered. Between that and their lackluster lord skills (5% missile resistance in ambush stance as a quest battle reward? WTF CA) it's obvious that the developers are incompetent. They better fix it, and soon. I can be their best friend... or their worst enemy

Sure, but I can't imagine them only doing a single DLC race pack, so they will need something after Hat Dwarfs. Other than Dogs of War, which seems like a stretch, what other options are even out there?

I mean Amazons are out there, but I don't know if they'd actually get around to it anytime soon. I feel like they're too close, aesthetically, to lizardmen. Meanwhile the Naga having a Cambodian vibe and being literal evil snake dudes would at least be "reptiles, but different" and might be distinct enough to get people on board.

But who the gently caress cares, I'm gonna buy it no matter what. :20bux:

A Veritable Smorgasbord!
They could always add little groups as tww2 ogre mercenary camps style recruitables. Half kings can always be recruited in the moot, amazons in what we the Amazon province is, etc. they could consist of maybe 3 - 4 specific units, that would be an easy way to add littler groups.

From most to least likely IMO:
Dogs of War
Dogs of War* (with substantial numbers of units from minor races, which are integrated into limited-roster factions)
Hobgoblins
Ind and/or Khuresh
Kurgan
Nippon
Amazons (note that this is the last nation that I actually think is a realistic possibility)
Literally Pontus
Araby
Fishmen
Halflings
Albion

As someone who's ethnically Chinese, I can't speak for everyone obviously but I really liked Cathay and thought they were rad as hell without falling into stereotypes. A few mainland China communities I know also enjoy it a decent amount.
