Internet Archive has iso's of any number of old shareware & software collections CD's https://archive.org/details/cdbbsarchive Some of those collections had windows utilities, they filled those things up with any and all free software they could find so I bet browsers are one at least one of them. Plus there's other software categories, if it's anywhere it's there somewhere.

I didn't like Zombie's Halloween remake because he tried to humanize Michael Myers and give him a sad backstory, which completely goes against the whole "Who/what the gently caress is this guy and why is he killing?" vibe I remember from the first Halloween. (To be fair, the original's whole "Ooh scary ESCAPED MENTAL ASYLUM PATIENT" is hella outdated at this point.)

He also REALLY wants the viewer to get a boner over his wife in every movie (unless that's changed in recent years, I remember he was sticking "Sherri Moon strips" scenes in every movie), which is kinda gross but still less weird than Tarantino sticking extended shots of dirty bare women feet in all his movies. If she's happy to do it, then by all means! It can just feel kinda "peeking into their bedroom" at times, for lack of a better word.

Fun fact: my favorite actor Walton Goggins was in either House of 1,000 Corpses or its sequel, as one of his earlier movie roles. I think he plays a cop that gets his face cut off, or something.

Old software is easy to find, however the DOS/Win9x family usually won't boot on any hardware newer the early 2000's. Windows XP is probably as far back as you can go on modern-ish hardware, and even that's probably getting iffy now. If you really want to play around with Windows 95 emulators are the way to go.

A virtual machine would be a good bet too.

Lol imagine preferring a 3rd rate over a frigate. You can outsail a big slow 3rd rate easy peasy. Doesn't matter how many guns it has on it if you're not there when they try to point them at you! Why, with a crack crew and fair winds you could even go privateering.

But a frigate can't bombard a port, nor carry enough men to feasibly take it. A frigate can make you a pirate, a third-rate can make you a king.
