The t12 is fantastic yes. I got one for myself aswell. If any of you end up getting it know that the case isnt grounded to mains earth so you will need to do some tinkering to get that done.

Question. Obviously buying a portable power brick on aliexpress is Not Smart, since they're just batteries, and aliexpress is a bad place to buy batteries. So where should I go to look for a decent one, upwards of 20k MAH? My phone is ever so hungry.

At some point my family standardized on Anker products off of Amazon. I can’t say they’re the best or worst bang for the buck, but their batteries have been rock solid for years.

The battery in my GPD MicroPC inflated a couple days ago, fingers crossed aliexpress is actually able to send me the replacement battery I ordered I wish our gadgets still had battery lids, the forces involved when lithium batteries start to swell easily rips screws out of plastic, cracks glass and bends circuit boards

Costco carries Anker power banks here in Canada. I assume it's the same in the US. With their return policy it might be a good place to get something like that. If you've got a membership already.

Sorry to bring back solder talk, but as the KSGER T12 seems to be quite a popular recommendation I looked into it a bit more and various searches also turned up the Quicko T12, which appears very similar but is around half the price. It's only a few dollars more than the basic iron I was strongly considering, and if it is basically the same thing as the KSGER I feel as though it's a slam dunk. Any thoughts on the Quicko T12?
