also sad ending unless I missed it and he was confessing to the playactor to see how it would play out?

I wonder if Nathan will reach Baron Cohen levels of fame and won’t be able to pull things off as well since everyone knows who he is

It is indeed Kor's doppleganger that cusses him out. Then it switches back to real Kor and he goes with the compliment.

ok thanks. I thought it was that but only because of panning out to the fake bar, cuz otherwise it looked like real Kor so that’s what was throwing me off

anyone whos seen the show care to comment on its socialist qualities

I looked up spoilers for why the government betrays Seal Team 6 on the show and it's very dumb

they tested a PTSD vaccine on the Seals and when it turned out it gave them brain cancer they tried to kill them all to cover it up

Hirsute

It's even dumber - the Secretary of Defense authorized the drug trial without the SEALs' knowledge, justifying it as a means to solve the PTSD/suicide crisis in the armed forces, because a blind study is more effective, and they all would have said yes anyway.

There is a handful of good stuff about the nature of the military-industrial complex but it's still very much a pro-military show

The Rehearsal was good and I want more!

Good news for me is that I have most of Nathan for You to finish because I am only about ten days into even knowing about him and his shows

Been thinking about these two posts a lot from the video game thread.

A resident evil game is not this straight forward move from one place to another linear narrative story like call of duty (that is why their story mode is forgettable and sucks).
Resident Evil is full of back tracking and finding stupid items to open up new ways of back tracking.

What I'm saying is, if 80% of that movie isn't, the character going "Where the hell is the thing!" It isn't the Resident Evil experience.

not to be "that guy" for mentioning this but I haven't had cable in 12 years, so I missed all Comedy Central shows since then. actually, probably even before that, since South Park stopped being funny in 2005 by my estimate and CC in the 00's was unbearably bad generally speaking

Yes - the base concepts and presentation of the shows are somewhat different, but they both boil down to the same haunting study of a man with a control complex and a sucking void where his personality/confidence would normally be, punctuated every once in a rare while with the most absolute insane poo poo that a random nobody has ever said on TV. Few shows are such strong case studies of people, and while the Nathan in the show is a fictional portrayal, the inclusion of real people in his broken-brained antics makes the show feel all the more real, special and rare.

the villains are corrupt gov't politicians, corrupt SOCOM officers and a corporation that somehow manages to be Big Pharma and a PMC at the same time

it's not the system's fault, it's the failings of a few aberrantly greedy people, capitalism is never put on trial and even if it is maligned no socialist alternative is ever even mentioned, much less considered

CC has never been good. tds/Colbert was barely passable for dire lack of anything else around the year 2005

since then it’s had some good shows: nathan4u, broad city, moonbeam city, Jon has a van, and a few others. but overall it had never been good
