Gimmick is literally what Osprey might be best at right now, at least in my opinion. Lost British brother of Logan Paul is a very good gimmick. Easily readable. Fits him.

Gimmick and character aren't the same thing anyway. You can portray a strong character with no gimmick, and you can also have an extremely detailed gimmick but still not actually have any character. Like Jay is phenomenal at character poo poo but there's nothing having him pretend to be a wrestling accountant or whatever would really add. The point is to evince human qualities in a comprehensive and holistic way to make the viewer feel like the fictional person the wrestler is playing is real and then use those human qualities to construct the drama of the match. The utility of a broad gimmick is that it can be a shortcut for both the audience to understand the gimmick wrestler's motivations and tendencies while also making it easier on big dumb meatheads with CTE to get poo poo like that across. "I'm an evil dentist, therefore I want to pull out your teeth" is loving stupid but it theoretically calibrates audience expectations, because you could be like "wow I hope my favorite babyface doesn't get his teeth pulled out" and then in the match they can fight over the teeth or whatever None of that is actually necessary for a sufficiently good character wrestler and if a gimmick doesn't dovetail well with the qualities they are good at portraying it can just make them worse performers. Likewise a good character wrestler can make a gimmick work that would eat poo poo if you gave it to someone else--House of Black is very dumb on paper, but Malakai is so good at presenting it that it becomes compelling. Could he succeed as Tommy Budgen, Dutch Man Who Likes MMA? I mean I'm sure he could if he really wanted to, but what he's doing right now is more fun Kinda feels like using "charisma" as shorthand for only how well you can deliver a scripted promo while discounting ability to look cool and compelling while you move, connect with crowds in-ring, etc. It all seems like cargo cult poo poo, people learning some inside baseball phrases and trying to both apply them to everything while also mangling them to justify their own preferences. Like they're taught a couple examples of these concepts and assume that's all-encompassing of the concept rather than just one way to do it. Like that fuckin guy who insisted FTR/Briscoes was bad because it had no storytelling, because he has been told storytelling is good and he has been told that working a limb is storytelling, so rather than actually be able to evaluate on his own if a match tells a story, he is just looking for limb work to check a box instead of actually watching the dang wrestling and experiencing the performance intuitively

alongside being insane, that person doesn't understand what a DMCA agent does. they aren't responsible for filing takedown requests, they're the people who receive takedown requests on behalf of a service provider. for example, if AEW was hosting copyrighted content on THEIR website, whoever Don Stevens is would handle DMCA takedown requests. if people are right about aubrey filing takedown requests, she is likely fully within the law to do that on behalf of AEW, especially if the clips contain her.

AEW has filed DMCA claims against bad faith clip accounts. this led to the assumption that aubrey is the one personally filing DMCA claims for AEW, which supposedly makes them fraudulent because they mistakenly think a DMCA agent is the person who has to file copyright claims, instead of being the person who handles them, and aubrey is not listed as AEW's DMCA agent
