Stuff like the older Serious Sam games in particular are just a mess in your games library. It doesn't help that a launcher for them all is called "Serious Sam Fusion 2017 (beta)" and that there also is something called "Serious Sam Classics: Revolution", both which just appeared at one point for owners of those games.

And they duplicate the loving achievements too.
You got those two and the HD versions, around 50-70 achievements each on them.

Umurangi Generation was a taiaha straight to the heart.

You walk around various scenarios in dystopian cyperpunk New Zealand as a gig photographer, documenting the world and the lives of the last generation before the End. Having the objectives of each map being framed around photography (i.e. take a photo of X with lens Y) is kind of brilliant, because it forces you to pay attention to all the little details and storytelling that have been meticulously inserted. You also unlock new tools as you go, which encourages you to revisit previous scenarios and let loose your inner artist.

It's pretty stirring in it's commentary overall, from the response of capitalism to large scale disasters to finding a silver lining when there is no hope for a future. I went in without really knowing what to expect, but coming out the other side I can't recommend it enough (the DLC too). I was playing Jedi Fallen Order in parallel, but I need to take a break as a result because for me Umurangi has become one of those "all other games are now a bit more poo poo" experiences.

i got dark nights with poe and munro (third game in the doctor dekker/shapeshifting detective universe), rogue heroes (roguelite zelda?) and the magister (which a couple of goons have raved about, a randomized deckbuilding murder mystery game)

they always run is a neat little action game, going under is a fun melee roguelite. maize is loving awful

And it made one-eighth the difference.
Are these worth getting? I'm a sucker for deckbuilders so figured I'd ask.

I hear OSFE is good (but IIRC it's already on Gamepass) and Cultist Simulator is kinda scummy in general, but wondering about the others.

OSFE and Library of Ruina are the best of the games in that pack by a mile but they're also the least 'deckbuildy' in the traditional sense and also hard as balls- OSFE is a homage to Mega Man Battle Network that can be incredibly difficult to find your footing in at first and has major action elements, and Ruina is a Visual Novel combined with a heavy puzzle-strategy deckbuilder component that is not afraid to cold-cock you with rules/mechanics brainteasers to work out through failure early and often.

No joke though, I kinda love that they're putting their OCs in this thing. You'd think either the publisher or playerbase would force them to focus solely on crossover characters and yet here they are shoving their own weirdos in there.

Cultist Simulator is not in any way a deck builder or even a card game so not sure why it's in there. The process of learning how to play the game is amazing but it kinda devolves into a grind once you decipher how to do things and how to win. To be clear, doing that is the real game. Highly recommended if you enjoy figuring things out. If you just look up spoilers the game is atmospheric but not that interesting.

cultist simulator is literally a card game
it is presented as a deck and deskful of cards that you move around and do card stuff with

it's not in any sense a deckbuilder like most indie cardgames though

There's no deck, there's no shuffling, there's no dealing or drawing. I guess there's cards but you don't do card things with them.
It's a card game in the same way Ring of Pain is - cards happen to be the way they presented things but there's nothing going on gameplay-wise that has anything to do with cards.

now i have a thousand categories, most years have one and they got tagged with user tags and tags based on controller support etc

it's a goddamn nightmare because now i just have a hundred or two "uncategorized" games (if not more thanks humble monthly i never cancelled), and i last used depressurizer a computer or two ago so who knows what the config even was.

tl;dr i regret this

Clever Betty
thanks to everyone who has contributed to my fundraiser/selling thread to help cover my mom's medical expenses, I have been able to pay off the first bills we've received in full for a total of $1624. That was for the first hospital stay of three, plus the fee for the rehab at a nursing home for a week. But it's taken care of now. Not sure how much the other two hospital bills will be though, the fundraiser will continue for at least a while yet since we've burned through a good bit of savings during this time as well since I've taken time off of work(america loving sucks but the Family Medical Leave Act is a very good law) to take care of her at home while she gets back up to at least a semblance of her former self.

One thing that's happened during this game code stuff is finding that, due to the codes I've acquired being from almost a decade's length of time, there are some games involved that literally cannot be acquired by basically any means anymore. This occurred recently when someone asked to purchase the Space Hulk Ultimate Pack. I went to check the price on it and it turns out it's been removed from steam and codes for the bundle just aren't available anywhere I've checked on a bunch of key reseller sites. What is something like this worth? I was contacted by someone about a different key I had, the Telltale Games Pack, that included multiple games that were no longer, until recently, available anywhere such as the Wallace and Gromit game, and because of that the pack was worth(until the rereleases) well over a hundred dollars.

how would I go about valuing something like this? Is there a good place to list it, possibly for auction?

the pack includes:
Space Hulk
Space Hulk - Kraken Skin DLC
Space Hulk - Behemoth Skin DLC
Space Hulk - Space Wolves Chapter
Space Hulk - Sword of Halcyon Campaign
Space Hulk - Defilement of Honour Campaign
Space Hulk - Harbinger of Torment Campaign

I made an attempt to play this game a couple years ago, having bought it longer ago. The game ran, but had some issue I don't remember that made it unplayable. I had to install some kind of mod to fix that, something that was clearly intended to provide utility when playing multiplayer modules.

So I instantly assumed it had something to do with that, but then I remembered publisher Atari lost the DnD license at some point. GOG doesn't credit them, just Obsidian (developer) and Hasbro (owner of WotC).

...which makes it even more mysterious why they didn't bring it back to Steam. Sorry, no answers here :sweatdrop:
