The government of Cuba isn't pristine and perfect by any means, but compared to the assholes the US and the west in general is proud to call its "friends" they aren't really that bad. Without getting into a debate on the merits of Cuban communism, it is wholly absurd and unjustifiable to refer to them as state sponsors of terrorism, or to place punitive embargoes on the country as a whole.

Democrats thinking they can win Florida starting to look like Charlie Brown with the football at this point, though the margins have been close enough (and Florida's obviously big enough) that they can't really afford to stop trying. I don't know if Obama's detente with Cuba had anything to do with the losses over the last several years or not, but if the Dems don't have any other answers (or changes they're willing to make), going back to the old playbook of pandering on Cuba is easy enough when it just means not doing anything different from what Trump left behind. Of course Republicans are still pretending Biden's soft on Cuba, so I don't think this cynical pandering is going to win him any votes he didn't already have anyway.

Rick scott farted through the worst sounding spanish ever spoken last election and dems didnt have a state-wide ad in spanish until like the week of voting day. The dem party machine in florida is nonexistent and fox newa spends every waking moment hyping it up and pretending its a conservative utopia begging the worst people in the US to move to florida.

I've seen this earlier in the war thread I guess, but yeah it's pretty  Dunno if it's just twitter, but I like also that the first frame is a giant hammer and sickle.I still value my sanity a bit so I didn't go on any russian telegrams to verify, but I wonder if it could've started as a satire that the rashists failed to recognize and embraced it unironically.
