QCS asked for a pictures thread that allows text again, so here we are. Some rules, in brief:

* Do not get into dumb bullshit slapfights. Report lengthy derails.
* Pictures or tweets should be political, don't respond to a picture with fuckyou.gif because that's boring and nobody wants to see that.
* We allow tweets because they are often funny or informative, but don't come and just post like twelve Trump tweets. That's loving boring and unfunny and violates the spirit of the thread, and there are multiple megathreads that basically just exist to mock Trump tweets. The same goes for other political people that make lovely tweets, like Neera Tanden. Posting one tweet may be really funny but we do not need a 35 tweet thread or whatever.
* Do not post gigantic table-breaking images without using [timg] you fucks.
* Any picture that is deliberately misleading, such as a photoshop designed to make someone look very bad that doesn't match up to the original, must be clearly marked as modified in some way and specified in what way they were modified. Do not try to pass off photoshops as the original (i.e. the photo of Justin Trudeau apparently wearing a Nazi uniform, which was actually a WWI officer cosplay that has been photoshopped).
* All NSFW imagery or links must be disclaimered as such, summarized, and linked. If you post imagery of somebody dying or something pornographic without following this rule you will be given a longer probation. Do not just put it behind a spoiler tag because that still loads and is cached by stuff like work computers.
* Video embeds will do but pictures/gifs/tweets are preferred, things that don't have to load and play. Do not post videos that have extremely loud noises right at the outset or are meant to startle without some kind of warning.
* Content which was created by another person - such as a viral tweet based on a TikTok that the tweeter did not create - should be sourced in some way if possible, so that the original creator can receive credit. If you're posting your own art that is in some way political relevant, then that's fine, but be prepared to be mocked if your art sucks. Plagiarism will not be tolerated.
* Do not post your own tweets. If you tweeted out some pictures, then post the drat pictures instead. Don't be lazy or self-promote. If you made a tweet that got more than 5,000 likes, then you can post it here.
* Do not image leech. This rule is a bit archaic but you should follow it anyway because if the original host changes the picture you leeched you could get owned. See also don't be lazy.
* if you break one of these rules in a way that's really funny you may be granted mercy.

Nah, it was a lovely rule.

The old picture threads were the most active threads around because they served as general 'world events' threads.

Allowing no discussion was a bad decision which throttled the life out of them.

I mean, this is a discussion board, not imgur.
