The only part of any Trek movie I found hard to watch as a kid was David getting stabbed in Search for Spock. Which is hilarious because it was such an awkward and tame scene compared to how I imagined it as a kid.

It's short, but it feels brutal. I liked David, so seeing him get shanked was tough. :(

I've heard that plenty but also RDM wrote the script so I don't see how that could be.

I think it was Purple McBeardy who said no to destroying the Defiant and made sure any mention of its supposed crippling damage was kept out of DS9.

I think the defiant only has like 20 to 25 crew members. Its a small vessel.

It's small but it's not as small as made out in that shot. 5 decks, 50 crew.

This is the main reason for targs on Klingon ships.

I'm pretty sure that crammed crew quarters on the defiant was actually mentioned when it was introduced. I think Odo and Garak had to bunk up or something.

I've started making my way through Enterprise and I'm surprised by how much I'm enjoying it. I watched some episodes back when it was new and absolutely wasn't into it, but now I'm having a good time. I even like the theme song honestly.

I've enjoyed the first few episodes of an Enterprise rewatch many a time (well, like three times). I usually start getting pretty bored around the middle of season 1, though. Honestly it could stand to be a lot dumber most of the time. Agreed about the theme though.

The theme and the intro are both really cool I think. I remember at the time I was pretty bummed that we didn't get a cool orchestral theme, but it's actually really well done intro and song I think

I like to think that Klingon ships have a big section just for raising livestock. Even if the smaller ones don't have room for big stuff, they can probably squeeze in enough wormnests to feed any crew.
