I can see when you are lying.

IANAL but I'm trying to parse this new document in the Connecticut case.

Full case detail: https://civilinquiry.jud.ct.gov/CaseDetail/PublicCaseDetail.aspx?DocketNo=UWYCV186046437S

Document: https://civilinquiry.jud.ct.gov/DocumentInquiry/DocumentInquiry.aspx?DocumentNo=23241842

It seems that Alex is trying to weasel out by saying that his own company is responsible and guarantees to indemnify him from any and all repercussions. And that it's also his company (and not his) responsibility to pay any fines or penalties that he may get in the case. It reads like he's basically sacrificing his company (obviously thinking he can just make a new one) and just asserting that it removes his individual liability altogether. Bold move, Cotton.

I'm pretty sure they pierced the corporate veil in both states and have already ruled that all the llcs are just alter egos of jones. One cannot indemnify oneself. This will be denied.

Update on this - Plaintiffs have filed an emergency motion to strike the cross complaint. I see no reason the judge does anything other than grant this motion.

I think he meant Opening Arguments because their newest episode is called "Alex Jones' Lawyers Have No loving Idea What They're Doing"

Yes I meant Opening Arguments.

I listen to a wrestling related podcast that was called Oral Sessions so I mixed them up. My bad.

I believe the Law and Crime YouTube is also putting clips up of the trial.

As mentioned previously, it's Opening Arguments, and will likely be one of if not the first search hits. It's a good listen (and a good podcast generally, imo) but only really goes in on one of many instances of Alex's lawyers being bad at their jobs. So far, anyway.

Jordan's twitter threads are a fun play-by-play/color commentary and how I've been catching up when I can't listen in the background, but if you want a good comprehensive roundup, I think that's probably gonna take some time.

This youtube channel is probably the only authorized source for video recordings of the trial atm: https://www.youtube.com/c/LawCrimeNetwork/videos

Doesn't have everything that's live streamed, but has most of the actual testimony. I recommend starting with the opening arguments, they're a good preview for the difference in quality of information and arguments between the 2 sides.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ptP2FbsYDDc
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jxD2XSZfrlE

It's not in the video, but the defense initially brought a big chart and magnifying glass to try and emphasize that Sandy Hook only made up a small percentage of their total airtime. The judge was not happy with that and made them remove the props before starting.

I'd be curious too since the reviews I saw just seemed to say that she was overly sympathetic and basically cut out all the bad stuff to present them as just sad, lonely boys who were isolating/left behind. It'd be interesting to see if it was genuine ignorance or one hell of an edit job.

The thing that surprised me were the parts where they showed Alex taking direct orders from Ali Alexander in both the November rallies and on January 6th. Even including a line from Alexander himself saying that Jones had no agency in this matter and that he was to follow orders exactly.

Even for an edit job, that one heck of a thing to leave in. Considering they edited out the existence of Nick Fuentes, I'm wondering why leaving Ali Alexander bossing Jones around was seen as "less" bad.

And it is the worst episode that I've listened to in a long time, hands down. Not because of anything they did, but holy poo poo. Even as someone who listens to the vile Alex Jones clips that they play, Owen's attempts at comedy weren't even amusing in a morbid way. It was like listening to Mike Huckabee's "Daily Show" knock-off.

It's not even all that offensive compared to the usual Infowars rants either. It's just unpleasant and miserable.

I posted this in the GBS thread but sharing here, too:

Jones has filed the notice of bankruptcy in the CT case meaning the judge there has lost jurisdiction before she could rule on the cross-claim and right before jury selection began next week.

Here it is if you wanna see: https://civilinquiry.jud.ct.gov/DocumentInquiry/DocumentInquiry.aspx?DocumentNo=23251339

Per their word, they have not filed the same in the TX case.
