Personally I am an absolutist against any kind of gun regulation because I don't care if people shoot up a school or a mall or whatever. I don't have any horse in the race as I don't own guns or have any kids to die in a school shooting, but the fact is these kinds of things happen when society has completely broken down and I don't believe in addressing only the symptom if you intend to ignore the cause. One thing I find funny is that dems are evergreen in their willingness to attempt federal gun control measures both knowing that they're likely to fail and knowing they'll simply ensure the republican base turn out to oppose them. It doesn't strike me as something that will benefit them electorally but maybe I'm wrong.

I was listening to Tides of History and WonderyTM has a podcast coming out about the Brumaire of January 6th.
