Clarifications: Civil suits find somebody liable or not liable. Guilty and Not Guilty are for criminal trials. This is a civil trial. Compensatory Damages are not capped (in Texas). This phase we're watching is for compensatory damages. Punitive Damages are capped at $750k. The next phase after this one will be to determine any punitive damages.
