will the casinos just refund them the money afterwards.. maybe. i mean they already do that with rakeback.

but "skewing odds" and using "fake money" (why?) is just an enormous step up in effort unless it was built into the program from the get go.

Do you seriously believe these streamers are playing with their own money? They certainly didn't in the past, gambling streams on Twitch aren't a new thing. Giving a streamer you want promoting your site credits isn't some kind of "enormous step-up in effort", it's way easier than actually transferring money.

And increased odds of winning for streamers promoting happened in the past as well. We've been through all kinds of gambling scandals on Twitch throughout the years.

Foo Fighters have done a concert in Meta's Horizon. Well, they've recorded it. It wasn't live, and the servers couldn't handle several thousands of people watching it at the same time. So yeah, it was extremely stupid.

i'm honestly not sure what you're yelling at me about cause literally the first sentence in what you quoted talks about casinos giving streamers money.

That is what that person considers to be "fake money". But they're also paid for promoting the site, those are different things. Streamers aren't gambling their earnings away promoting some dodgy online casino.

Time passes quickly on the weekend.

Theres been live streams where they spent all their balance then it just magically resets to $20,000 without them going anywhere near a deposit screen.

There's also a thing where these casinos cannot be played by anyone that lives in the US. It's in the terms of the casino that you cannot do so (due to the licence restrictions of the dodgy country they are all registered) and because of this you may not be able to withdraw your funds.

eh. okay. whatever. thought they meant they would give him some number that wasn't really the amount in his account. if they're going to give a streamer money to play on their site they'll just slush them the money.

can you show me the VOD of a stream where a "skewed odd" occurred?

csgo is skin gambling. we are talking about the online gambling/slot machines. there's a difference. one is in a weird grey area because no one knows what it really is, and the other is a known quantity that has existed and has rules regarding it's regulation

so let's take one of the most popular crypto+online casinos, stake.com. they use their curaco license for most countries it operates, but they also operate in the UK which requires them to be licensed by the UKGC. i believe if you can show them video proof that the casino was "skewing odds" even for a non-UK account, i think they'd be interested in hearing about this.

Do you expect some streamer to say on stream "yes, this dodgy site is skewing odds"? But also, they probably don't have to. Simply providing funds to streamers is enough.

CSGo Lotto 100% did turn out to be owned by the streamers who were gambling on it. I don't remember the name PhantomLord but TMartin and ProSyndicate absolutely got busted for gambling on a site they owned and not disclosing that.

That case has a lot of implications because it purports that payment processors are themselves responsible if platforms use them for illicit purposes knowingly or not. Who is to say that if crypto takes its place (it will not lmao) that the same thing won't happen to them?

My kid watched(?) participated(?) in an Ariana Grande Fortnite thing and it was actually pretty neat. It was a cool blend of digital imagery in the game world with some interactivity and the music. But I wouldn’t call it a concert.

This is the reality of Crypto. People are excited having bought the perceived bottom but don't realize we're mega, mega bearish overall still. Can still go up but it's pretty weak. But probably not too far off a market bottom no matter where we go from here, which can include down.

For me, standard slow walk back towards cash.
