i like the idea but to me the actual result sounds very "were trying to do something gimmicky" rather than "Yeah this piece of music genuinely fits a sax solo" and having Kenny G doesnt exactly help

I absolutely loved Jomsviking but the last Amon Amarth didn’t get many plays from me. I didn’t even dislike it or anything I just didn’t seem to get hooked by it. I’m hoping this one catches me.

Ohh edgy flaming hot take, I'm on the first song, seems ok so far. First and last songs are decent, couple others in the middle are alright. The folky one is not very good at all. Overall a little disappointing. I liked the last record with shield wall being a stand out for me. Might need more listens, but it feels a little lacking, but I wouldnt scream "it loving sucks". I like sax when it’s another sound in the mix but there seems to be something about it that makes sax players need to go off on noodly sucky solos whenever possible But I guess I feel like that about all instruments
