MOTYC: Taichi vs Tama Tonga - NJPW G1 Climax (8/9) This match is basically my perfect match and the conclusion to a story that started with Takashi Iizuka's retirement, continued through a ladder match, then a series of YouTube videos where Taichi went spelunking and battled demon dogs. It had it all, Taichi pointing at his dick and demanding Tama punch it, two men battling demonic possession, and then hitting each other really hard. Five stars.

From the same show HM: Archer/JONAH loving ruled except for the finish which was done for understandable reasons MOTYC: Naito/KENTA - as someone fully invested in Naito's last chance, this match is very stressful but I bit on every single pin attempt

Njpw g1 Climax 9/8 HM : Jonah v archer - very good match let down by a few things. Whoever convinced Jonah less is more in njpw has improved him significantly. Just a good big man brawl HM : taichi v tama I was very tired so probably didn't like the match as much as I was hoping. It was still very fun Motyc : kenta v naito - even as tired as I was this rocked. Possibly the best match they have had

HM 31st July Pro Wrestling ZERO1 MidSummer Festival - Fire Festival 2022 Night 10 Chris Vice vs Fuminori Abe MOTYC 31st July Pro Wrestling ZERO1 MidSummer Festival - Fire Festival 2022 Night 10 Fire Festival 2022 Final Daisuke Sekimoto vs Yoshiki Inamura Veteran beef vs younger beef. Tentative start with an extended hammerlock sequence where they jockey for control, test of strength with a lot of beef clashing with beef, it's clear from minute 1 that this is HEAVYWEIGHT wrestling. And then Sekimoto flies with a tope suicida and the pace starts ramping up a bit. Rather than write play by play, I'll say I really appreciated the steady start. No, there weren't many flashy things going on in the first 15 minutes and I suppose you could call it simplistic power wrestling but everything felt significant as the match just built and built to a crescendo, Inamura made a bodyslam feel significant.
