I was having trouble telling what all the meters, etc. were supposed to mean so I hunted up a scan of the manual. https://archive.org/details/snes-manual-archive/Bassin%27s%20Black%20Bass%20%28%20USA%20%29 There's some good info here on how the lures should be used, meters, etc. plus some info on attracting lunkers.

Beat the first day:  Lost my brightly-colored jig+pork and spinnerbaits early on due to accidentally cutting the line while reeling. Did pretty well in the lily pads early on, then caught some big ones in the reeds later when it got overcast. Never managed to even get a bite under the shade trees on this first attempt, nor attract any lunkers. Looking forward to the second lake!
