There's no need to think about or respond to what we say, because we're just echoing Chinese/Russian propaganda. In the past, they tried to do this with American culture war stuff, and accused people of being "nazbols." But this doesn't work well, because anyone remotely normal has no idea what a "nazbol" is (including them!). Accusing people of doing the bidding of foreign enemies, on the other hand, is something most Americans can understand.

I do also want to point out that it was Khrushchev that sent the tanks into Hungary, and it was Brezhnev that sent the tanks into Czechoslovakia, but "tankie" is always associated with "Stalinism"
