I'm still working through 2.X, the Crystal Braves just got founded. My mother watches me play regularly, and as I was talking to Ilberd for the first time, she asked "Is he supposed to be a good guy? I don't like him." Having already been spoiled on 2.X, I did inform her of his sudden but inevitable betrayal. And in other faffing about news, I was doing sidequests to level some of my lower classes, and one of the attendants at Bronze Lake said a goldsmith needed salamander oil. I immediately got a sinking feeling.  Were I better at photoshop I would have added some Jojo "menacing" sound effects. Also while I was relaying the discovery to my friends in discord, the idling camera kicked in and I got a faceful of Godbert's smallclothes behind the discord window.

Yeah don’t walk around with no pants equipped or with emperor’s pants equipped and no one will see your dong. But also don’t let what randos might see affect your game. You aren’t going to see any dongs unless you have a dong mod installed and most people also won’t see dongs.

Those mods are mostly for gpose shenanigans that get shared on Twitter anyway. Very few people have them and of those who do, I don't think many are walking around or generally playing with nude mods on the reg. It's just for when they want to take spicy pics for their 18+ followings.

Well the thing with the "nude mods" is that you actually have to install these mods to use a lot of the modded clothes, because they use a slightly modified body model for a lot of modded clothing. Specifically, Bibo+ is the main one for female characters (there's also Tight & Firm but I think Bibo+ 2.0 has that kind of baked into the mod itself now) and The Body? I think? Is the name for the male one. Now you do have the option to have it still be smallclothes instead of boobies and peepees but those mods are still required for a ton of modded clothes. It seems that a relatively small number of modded outfits will just work on the vanilla model. In fact there's now a ton of outfits that are only compatible the original Bibo+ a ton that are only compatible with 2.0 so now I have to have both available to switch to if I want a specific set of clothing or else the textures get all wonky. There's a special buff you get during solo duties and for healers it significantly increases your damage (for DPS it gives you health regen and for tanks I think it does both those things to a smaller than extent).

Tho their solution is to rotate between two or three classes, pick tank/healer for the sweet sweet queues and DPS for when you need to do a solo duty and peel a dude's face off

Plus there's plenty of ways people can be creeps without nude mods. But nevertheless I can understand how the knowledge that nude mods exist that can apply to other players can be discomforting.

The solo duty at Twine in Shb was so long and terrible, just single-handedly the worst quest in the game. Didn't help that the villain was a charisma black hole that got poochied out the story later! A black mark on an otherwise flawless expansion msq.

One of the staff muses that Godbert's choice to come to a recovery spot for wounded soldiers chasing his muse may not be as obtuse as he pretends, and he's mourning someone lost in battle. This was a basic ARR quest before Hildibrand's return, so Godbert's son had last been seen leaping at Dalamud just before the Fall.
