I really enjoy the combat, and even the story/world building is decent (albeit a little cliche and Diablo-esque). But the amount of filler they put in on the main quests really drag it down imo. Lots of running around to talk to 8 random NPCs for their opinion, run all over town to get dumpling ingredients, go pet 3 cows, comb 5 horses, then shovel their manure for the pigs, etc. It's just lots of mindlessly running back and forth without combat for stupid poo poo. I hope it gets more interesting as I go along, as it is my play sessions get shorter and shorter as I struggle to keep giving a poo poo about talking to 5 npcs spread around a city with no enemies for the Nth time...

If you're on level for the content it's hard to find a group as any dps. Even over leveled there's 8 million dps applicants for every party, they can pick and choose whatever they want.

It's not that, I get that, I was getting rejected for people the exact same ilvl and engraving power as me, in some cases like 10-15 ilvls lower

A friend said people were worried about bussing now because they'd get banned if they got paid using RMT gold. Is that not true? Maybe that's just a lie the person told as a cover as for why they got banned. I just hit 1415 myself and I'll probably end up getting bussed to get some starter gear at least. I gotta fix my jewelry and engravings first though.

There was a high profile case where someone paid 500k for a hell mode valtan bus and someone/maybe multiple people got banned, but that's a really complicated, outlier case and not 3k for a vykas bus or 1.xk for argos. The only potential false positive I've seen was someone merging gems to try and roll level 10 dps gems who "made" 5.6m gold but actually because he was just gambling lost gold despite how it looked. The automated detection allegedly flagged him for that. So... probably be careful if you're dealing with multiple transactions of >100k gold that mostly comes from RMTers. They also do unban people who get falsely banned. There have been a few cases of people getting banned & then unbanned within 2 business days. They've been cracking down pretty hard on RMT because after they patched the easy stuff & implemented some server side detection of bots, the RMT companies started using stolen credit cards and doing mass chargebacks to get gold which causes big problems for AGS & costs them money. They have a good buff and they're a high tier class, and they're also not common. But people are weird about inviting certain classes sometimes, I've been gatekept on arcana & zerker. Arcana is more deserved because I am a big cheapo on tripods due to +4 being 8k or something and me not wanting to gamble on the resell. people also gate on roster level which is also weird to me. I am pretty chill when I organize groups and look for 3x3 for normal mode stuff + correct stats + at least having gems equipped. If it's hm I dunno, it depends what the group already looks like & whether it's valtan or vykas. HM Vykas I discriminate a lot more on any odd choices but that's because HM vykas can either take 20 minutes or 4 hours depending on who you invite. I've heard of boosting and carries but this is a new term for me. Basically yes, you have a bus driver and the people getting bussed pay a fee to get driven through the content.

It is mostly beneficial for 1370 characters to get a bus through p3 Argos. You get more blood from the chest, so you can make your equipment faster to hone. The purple gear stops honing when you hit 1370. You pay around 2k and then 500? for the chest, which means you don't really lose out on gold and also get extra materials. Then I guess people do the same for valtan and vykas, if they can't clear the content? I paid for a few busses on my alt but stopped because some of them were a pain. Some 2 man busses took around 40 minutes. Along with afkers after a wipe, etc. I suggest joining a 3 man bus if you want to do it.

God, I think I hosed myself with my 4x3 setup such that there's no easy way to transition to 5x3 without completely swapping out every piece of my equipment and getting legendary engraving books. Only need to save up something like 400k gold to do so

The good news is that gear can be cheaper than you think if you're willing to accept low quality/browse the auction house for deals and the gold comes at a decent clip with a comprehensive enough roster. Nothing can really save you from books though. I'll be rooting for you!

The normal schedule right now is Wednesday is alt runs for NM/HM Valtan/Vykas, Thursday main group doing HM Vykas together, and then Sunday Argos swaps and Valtan HM on mains. Everything except the HM Vykas main run on Thursday is flexible, the Vykas run is the one where it's the nicest to have everyone together.
