It is important to avoid confusion. This is the one that's okay to lick.

Yeah in Australia there's definitely quite a few places where if you're property if filled with long dry dead grass and it's bush fire season the council will get onto you about it.

Which I don't know, that seems far enough. Never heard about it in none bush fire seasons, although their are some pretty lovely councils around so maybe?

Most places I've lived if the city starts bugging you about your grass length they'll eventually just send someone out to mow it for you and then send you a bill.

True, it's often this, but the bill is HIGH and I guess I was grouping this with "fines"

Yellow mustard is a fine condiment on American fare and get hosed if you are going to be pretentious about mustard. That is reserved only for Germans.

I saw a commercial earlier for yellow mustard and they had someone absolutely covering a piece of bread with mustard and it was just way too much mustard.

Oh so I got a 4 pack of dijon mustards as a gift recently, and goddamn they are good. Like so creamy and flavorful, I end up using a ton on my sandwiches. I've been burning through it fast. The last jar is full grain mustard, not sure how I'm going to utilize that one.

Asterix and Obelisk are probably familiar-ish characters, at least the look of them, to most Americans, but I don't think many people here actually know the characters beyond just the basic appearance of the titular two. I only really know the characters at all because I read some of the comics in French classes.

Edit: By "here" I just mean America, not the forums.

Most of the americans on SA are huge nerds, myself included, so I assume they know about asterix.

I mean, they had the graphic novels at my local library when I was a kid in the 80s.
