I don't know if I agree that the difference between cheap and midrange gin being negligible. I'll still drink cheap gin but too cheap and the hangover can be loving vicious. I do think nicer stuff can have nicer and more pronounced botanicals. Also cheap stuff tends to use more sugar to mask impurities IME. I do think it has a lower ceiling than brown spirits though. |
