The team who just conceded has the right to the ball, and there’s even specific guidance in the laws against the scoring team taking the ball. You shouldn't be allowed to touch the ball when it's clearly not yours. Like in this instance or when it's a free kick and someone picks it up and takes ages to throw it to the player wanting to take it. Straight yellow.

I vividly remember that Chelsea vs Arsenal game and I would not call it dogshit in the same way that 90s games were cloggers battering each other. That game with the Essien goal was one where Arsenal were on the verge of winning, but as the clock wound down Chelsea just started playing with urgency. That Essien goal was near the end of regular time and it turned what everyone thought was an unlikely win for Arsenal into a draw. It was the closest Wenger ever got to beating Mourinho at Stamford Bridge during his glory days at Chelsea.
